I can tell you that the sense of smell is weird. When I breath in its like a numb sensation but I can still smell maybe 70%. Fatigue comes and goes. Not short of breath or coughing.... Yet. Definitely can tell theres something going on though.

Update on bar hopping friend with Covid:

Has been clear to go back to work after 10 days from onset of symptoms. Is feeling 100% better and is weaning off steroids. She knows me well and knows how I feel about the virus so she let me follow her closely through her illness.

July 2nd tested positive. The first few days she had a temp of 101, fatigue, cough, sob with exertion and felt like she couldn't take a deep breath "feels like someone is sitting on my chest". I could tell how sob she was even on the phone. Never lost her sense of taste or smell, but it was altered. Not sure if it's back to normal yet or not.

July 5 had a strange flashing light in the peripheral vision of her right eye. Stated it was still there when she closed her eyes. Took a nap and it went away never to return.

When the fever when away, the sob and fatigue stayed. Spoke with her doc and had a steroid inhaler and oral steroids prescribed that I picked up for her Tuesday. Since starting steroids she has improved daily until no more symptoms.

I made her get out in the sun every day. She put a lawn chair out there and napped. When it was raining she sat in her garage with the door up. She took Vit C, D, Zinc and omega 3. Hydrated constantly.

Hopefully she'll still feel good after weaning off the steroids. I'll keep y'all posted. I'm so glad she's doing well!
