I think that was rescinded a few months ago. Keven McCairn had covid and said it didn’t work for him and the only thing that helped was aspirin.I think he said he needed 600 mg. doses.

ANYWAY, weekly deaths from covid 19 are down to about 2.5% of what they were in Mid April, when we had 17,000 deaths in one week.

Last week (beginning July4) we had a total of 469 deaths over a seven day period

LESS THAN 100 PER DAY FROM A PEAK OF NEARLY 3000 per day!.




IMO the danger is over because the virus has mutated to something which is markedly more contagious but also much less deadly.

This is normal for natural viruses that I know of. they dont spread efficiently by killing the host so they evolve rapidly not to.

I also noticed the total number of covid related deaths in the US reported to the CDC is only 120,000

I'd like to say I've enjoyed this ride with y'all also. As soon as I heard mention of a virus in China I immediately came back to GLP. I had gone away because of the political and trolling fuckery that is seen on other threads. Honestly, if this tread was like those I wouldn't have re-upped my membership.

You are cherry picking your data. Those that are getting hospitalized now, the ones that die will be weeks from now. Plus you aren't counting in all the disabilities that those who do survive will have.

Thats great to be honest. I don't want to see droppers or bodies piled up all over or cremations ran 24 hours a day.

But how many are now disabled or have to do dialysis every day or who developed diabetes or who lost limbs/digits or who needs a lung or liver transplant or who has cognitive function issues? How may of those people are there?

More than likely if they are severely affected, they will not be able to re-enter the workforce.

So even if people stop dying tomorrow, people are still going to get sick and have long lasting damage. And not be able to work. So the economy is fucked regardless at this point.

When the majority of people realize supplies and jobs are not coming back, thats when things get interesting.

If you plot the deaths per day on a chart it is easy to see the truth. It has fallen off to a tiny percentage of what it was


If it isn't killing people nearly as much and a shit load more people have it than ever have, that translates into it mutated.

Not true, it could have mutated to be less deadly but cause more damage to organs or the brain.

Remember, it was found early on to have gain of function capability. And virus's don't want the host dead too soon, it inhibits them to propagate.

So if it just replicates enough to cause damage at a slower pace, it can survive longer and spread further.
