The U.S. will pay Pfizer and biotech firm BioNTech $1.95 billion to produce and deliver 100 million doses of their Covid-19 vaccine
if it proves safe and effective, the companies announced Wednesday.
It was the largest such deal between the government and companies racing to develop a coronavirus vaccine.
Under the agreement, the U.S. can acquire 500 million additional doses,
the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said. Germany-based BioNTech and Pfizer are jointly developing four potential vaccines.

I have been thinking about this too as I am trying to find a place that has well water and a fireplace. I definitely want to be away from city sewer and water by winter. I am downhill in terms of sewer so I'm sure if there was a backup I would have a problem.

I was originally considering up north woods somewhere but then restocking supplies come into issue. Small towns have maybe 1 store to get supplies, no big box stores, not alot of population. When they start getting sick the options to restock for what comes after winter goes way down. And then like you guys are saying, mad max scenario, a more populated area, there will be more supplies to pillage from those who don't make it.
