Good local cops do the job well and remember who they work for. It's a perk of living in a small town. In a city, the cop can't distinguish, or they never do.

There are some good states though, I guess. Arkansas is probably a good state. I always got tickets when I went through with out of state plates, and I got tickets nowhere else. I've been in almost every state. So I figure Arkansas cops must be on the side of Arkansas residents.

Let me point out that you are all ignoring the containment option. Living in Europe and looking at the numbers comparatively, I want to point out I'm still here and not really afraid of being infected right now. I have a ample supply of masks, I have yet to wear one. It takes collective availability and fear for them to be effective.

I think the main purpose of masks is to stop you transmitting it to someone else.

If they cared about you protecting yourself, they'd remind you to cover your eyes with eyeglasses or goggles.

I'm glassed up by default. Lenses are to much sustained effort for me but would do 50% of the job better then pure glasses (barrier between blood vessels and pathogen). Masks work if you continually wear one you are less likely to get this bug. It's more important to asses your local situation to the best of your ability then it is to reject that basic assertion.

If you are being told that you need to be worried, it's too late. I've yet to see anywhere implement restrictions prior to a drop in cases because people get scared. Scared people influence decisions.

It's less then standard variance in HC during April/March. I would be more comfortable if I knew how many were hospitalized, how many are in the ICU now or if I had a graph showing either date of when positive cases were sampled or assumed start of symptom onset.

Texas has decided not to release that information, I am doing the best I can with the limited date set.

Texas has moved to a stable trend. The 200+ is not significant enough to make conclusions, the way this hits people is variable so day to day it's hard to call. Over the past two weeks it has been stable but looking at the numbers it seems like Houston/Dallas are on the decline. Whereas other places are rising. This makes Texas look stable as spread rates pick up rural areas and declines in cities.

I have yet to see a actual stable number anywhere that is not created by a shift. It grows or it declines. In general the best explanation I see for a move for growth->decline is fear. Government action seems to be reactive to increased fear and amplifies and enforces the change in the trend.
