London will likely be shutdown and in chaos within a month.

I have some inside intel on this. Can't give too many details but I have a friend of many decades who works for a UK ministry.

He called me a few days ago out of the blue and we discussed contingency plans in detail. He has a young child and is planning to leave the city or at least get his wife and kid out.

I am in another European country and we are cancelling a trip to the UK scheduled for a large group in April. We are taking a substantial financial hit on the cancellation.

I don't want to risk his or my positions, but we are both government employees at reasonably high levels for two European countries, UK and France. We have known and trusted each other for many years.

He knows my personal opinions on many things despite being a govt employee and therefore his call surprised me because I knew right away why he called. He wanted my take on this situation as he is likely getting COG echos on his end.

He is aware of the danger in London and now that there is a confirmed case there is no way to stop the spread within the city.

Here in France we are waiting for the same to happen in Paris particularly however I have no intel on that as of today as our channels are not conveying information.

However the situation will move quickly in the coming days.

First warned will be best prepared to move out.

I'm thinking we need to look at the WHO reports a different way.
Step back and look at the big picture.

Why stop flights and travel when they know the pandemic is so virulent and spreading out of control.

USA is not testing everyone suspected. At this point the virus has been unleashed to the general population by super spreaders, so testing only suspected travelers is worthless at this time.

They know the 14day confinement isn't long enough.

They know people have handled and passed around enough paper dollars and coins to spread the virus out of control.

They don't want to encourage mask wearing since they know that you can be infected through your eyes and your ear canals. So masks are pretty much useless.

Their top priority seems to be to let the virus thin the population, maybe survivors will carry a "herd" immunity.
But above all, they have seen first hand how China factories hurt their economy so they want to keep everyone in other countries, including the USA working for the taxman.

The way I see it when I look at the wide photo of it all is, we are pretty much screwed.
They are going to let Corona run it's course in the wild unhindered, survivors will strengthen the "herd" all others will simply die out.

Move out to exactly where? Outside of big cities no medical treatment at all possible once SHTF.
