This is why I believe at the heart of this issue is a very serious virus and not an agenda, although the virus will certainly be exploited for sinister purposes. China doesn't need to release a virus to round up dissidents. If they wanted to do that, they'd just do it, and no one would stop them. They already have the entirety of their territory compliant with a VERY few exceptions. They certainly wouldn't have to go to the trouble of quarantining half their population and shutting down massive parts of their economy using the virus as cover to achieve that goal. China needs the world buying their crap, desperately, and the world is currently not buying their crap and probably won't be for a long time. Why go to all that trouble just to round up a few people who don't care for communism?

These regional tensions and boiling points have long preceded this event. I highly doubt anyone was waiting for a virus release to touch things off.

Now, will hostile countries use this as an opportunity while the world is distracted? You bet they will. But to think this is all part of some grand strategy just doesn’t make much sense.

Watching that 'pet culling' video makes me think the fuckers deserve to get the virus and die.

I'm plenty caught up and there may end up being a war fought during the outbreak. I'm just saying the outbreak is real and is not a cover for said potential war. The war could be fallout from the outbreak or completely unrelated. There's always a war to be fought somewhere, and it doesn't need a virus as cover. Hell, they say that WWI started over the killing of ONE MAN, for God's sake. There were plenty of other causes but if they need a cover story, they don't need to go to this extent to get one.

Let's say I'm well versed in current military affairs. Especially on the US side of the equation. Yes, Turkey has everyone worried currently. But Syria/Turkey/Russia/US/Kurds etc... isn't exactly a new development is it? Also NATO posturing in Eastern Europe isn't new given Russian/Ukraine, and honestly, well before that. But what I can say, is despite the US military's reputation, it is currently fatigued and doesn't need another 'war'. Navy is stretched way too thin given Iran, thus the 'Russian' sub in the Atlantic story recently. Constant Afgan and Iraq deployments have taken their toll. US Army alone needs a serious refit, and time for the current generation of war fighters to train new troops, which buy the way require more physical training and technical training because of poor fitness and education. That means going into a real conventional war situation, we are already behind the eight ball in terms of personnel, and getting ready for fielding new divisions. Not to mention we don't even have the industrial backbone currently to turn out ships, planes, and tanks in any meaningful form without massive nationalization of industry.

They changed the checkout lines into this layout:

30 self-check-out screens

They added 30 self-check-out screens! and they reduced normal register lines to 6!
If you do not believe me, go to your local walmart and see it for yourself.
This was in a very busy walmart in Los Angeles.
