They are starting to figure out what I already figured out today riding the subway in NYC. There's no way to avoid exposure. So COVID-19 is our friend. Yep, the brutally simple truth is that the way we live our lives and our society and economies is fundamentally incompatible with trying to contain this virus. The measures needed to stop it will collapse civilisation, no 'ifs or buts.' I promise, if you live in a big city that is surely exposed to COVID-19, if you go out and get a breath of fresh air and just take in the life around you, people in the street interacting, mixing all of their breath, you won't feel so bad about COVID-19. You will start to not worry about getting hurt by it. Because it's impossible to stop. You will realize this. You will become calm like a dog getting a bath. The dog fights it at first, but then realizes that there is nothing it can do to prevent it, so it just gives in. And maybe there is some hidden benefit to the virus? What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
