I have ALREADY assumed that most people don't get ill, only accounting for 40% of the people being ill.

For over a month I am trying to make people understand that we're fucked, and most of us don't even need to be ill to be fucked.


The problem is not easy to understand, but for me, is. I am a number guy, a pattern guy. I see where this is going.


Let me explain it with a simple and abstract example, that can be extrapolated to the entire world.

A town have 1,000 people. 200 of them are over 65. The epidemic starts in that town. After a short while (1 month) all 200 elderly die. That is a 20% death rate.

The other 800 people left, the workforce, get infected. 60% of them are asymptomatic, they don't get ill...AT FIRST.

40% of 800 do get ill, the next month. That is 320 people. Half of them need hospitalization, so 160. The town hospital have 30 beds and 4 ICU beds.

About 40 of those 160 need ICU. 36 of them die + 2 more in ICU. 2 survive. 120 hospitalized also survive.

Third month. The former 1,000 people town now have 200 elderly dead and 38 of the workforce also dead. The town is left with 762 people.

In the fourth month, 20% more of the people get sick again, but their immune system is already weak. Half of them will die.

See where I am going?

In 5-6 months, that town will lose about 15% of their workforce.

The TOWN WILL SURVIVE, because even if they lose 15% of 800 people, it's not an issue.


BUT A COUNTRY will not survive losing 15% of it's workforce ALONG 20% of the population (the elderly), in like 6 months, if there are no lock-downs. And if ALL countries suffer such losses, world will descend into chaos.

And will need generations to recover...if it will be even possible.

The governments KNOW that we are heading to the abyss. They just HOPE we will somehow STOP before falling into it.

It doesn’t matter if MOST don’t get “ill”.

1% of a very large number is still a large number and enough to decapitate our medical system.

Let’s say 70% of 7.4B get it and only 1% need critical care(which is WAY LOW), that is still 51,800,000 people requiring critical care. That is many many times capacity of the global system. That means 50-70% of those people die.

Now take the more realistic numbers of say 10-15% require critical care. I won’t even do the math, it doesn’t matter.

Well, today I got the news I've been dreading. I was exposed to a CoVid positive pt. I had a feeling she was going to be positive so I put a mask on her immediately. She wasn't coughing, but was breathing about 40 times a minute. She was in her 40's.

Y'all say a prayer for me. I only have 2 more weekends in the ER and then will be logistics/operations. I promised them I'll bust my ass to get as much PPE sent to them as I can. The hospital is failing our nurses. I've heard from medics that the hospital I work in is the ONLY one not really taking it seriously.

I'm struggling with guilt from leaving them, being exposed in an enclosed room and being exhausted. I need some beach therapy, but that won't happen for MONTHS. UGH!!!

When our groceries are delivered tomorrow evening, we will not allow the delivery person inside the house; he or she will leave all the groceries on the floor in the garage. I will bring in the bags while wearing gloves and place them on the kitchen counter. My wife will unpack them, trying as best as possible to not touch the bags in the process, and will wipe down all packages with disinfectants. After which I will throw away all the bags and disinfect the countertop.

This is our new normal because we have no idea who has touched our food anywhere along the line.

It was crazy. Necessary and understandable, but still crazy and tedious.

I listened to Virgil Paunescu talking in a talk-show this evening. He said what I wrote above. They are now testing on human cells. They won't start testing it on humans any time soon, he estimates the test on human volunteers could start six months from now at the earliest.
