Well, today I got the news I've been dreading. I was exposed to a CoVid positive pt. I had a feeling she was going to be positive so I put a mask on her immediately. She wasn't coughing, but was breathing about 40 times a minute. She was in her 40's.
Y'all say a prayer for me. I only have 2 more weekends in the ER and then will be logistics/operations. I promised them I'll bust my ass to get as much PPE sent to them as I can. The hospital is failing our nurses. I've heard from medics that the hospital I work in is the ONLY one not really taking it seriously.
I'm struggling with guilt from leaving them, being exposed in an enclosed room and being exhausted. I need some beach therapy, but that won't happen for MONTHS. UGH!!!
