People with Covid19 have died of heart failure, kidney failure and pneumonia. Septic shock, not so much. Maybe his body was to worn down by the virus to fight the septic shock. But this is a oddball case. This is not what's killing people. I believe his sepsis was related to cytokine storms that can occur with Covid-19 when the immune system goes into overdrive. The virus doesn't have a chance to progress to the later stages of ARDS, as seen in some older patients. I believe this was also being reported in Wuhan, along with organ failures, which were probably also a result of cytokine storm.
