None of which would have been fatal if they didn't have AIDS.

Generally speaking I am not going to die of pneumonia anytime soon. I probably won't even develop it because I'm very healthy. But if I catch COVID-19 and it causes the pneumonia that I would not have caught otherwise, and I die from said pneumonia, then COVID-19 is still the killer.

You guys are arguing about semantics and categorization error.

Death causality is sometimes a compound of multiple factors. It isn't always an either/or situation.

Real life is often messy like that.
