I do fear a big enough power outage that will spoil anything frozen/refrigerated.
I will be pissed, I finally scored a freezer for the 1/4 cow I ordered which will be ready in a couple of weeks
Quoting: dyin Get a pressure canner,propane burner, meat grinder and lots of jars. If the power goes out for long enough and things start to defrost....get busy canning I got the jars and lids, need to get the propane burner. I do have some camp burners but nothing large enough to hold my water bath canner. Already been browsing online, need to get a pressure caner for meat too :) If you have access to wood, build a rocket stove.
