I do fear a big enough power outage that will spoil anything frozen/refrigerated.
I will be pissed, I finally scored a freezer for the 1/4 cow I ordered which will be ready in a couple of weeks

If the power goes out for long enough and things start to defrost....get busy canning I got the jars and lids, need to get the propane burner. I do have some camp burners but nothing large enough to hold my water bath canner. Already been browsing online, need to get a pressure caner for meat too :) If you have access to wood, build a rocket stove. [ link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Yep. I have been saving our cardboard and paper to build burning .... damnit can’t remember the word. But yes... that above is great.
