When it comes down to it, in my opinion current hospitalization levels were due to an initial outbreak that was orders of magnitude higher than reported numbers.

With current mitigation measures I feel that hospitalization numbers will drop below that of what you would see from seasonal flu.

That's already the case in NYC, which had one of the worst outbreaks in the world. They are actually lower than what they would see from the flu right now.

If we can hold at those levels, we can open society and live with the consequences of this bug.
