An estimated 11% of businesses here will close by june 1st in nyc, de blasio said today that businesses should have no problem being shut down for a few more months, this guy is a clown and it looks like theyll start phase 1 of reopening in less than two weeks but that wont help much.

This has been the biggest s...show of government incompetence (almost all 51 - fed and states) coupled with some usual malice (e.g., Cuomo in NY forcing C19 in nursing homes) I've ever seen. I have some ideas why it's worse today than in the past, but they are very Un PC. And then there's the large swath of the public that seems unable to apply common sense and to distinguish the "signal from the noise". Common sense is anything but common in my experience. I see far too many people either elected or appointed by elected officials because either it would be "racist" not to do so or, in the case of appointments, they check off one or more "boxes" based on gender, sexual preference, race, or who knows what and said appointment has nothing at all to do with experience, accomplishment, knowledge, and experience. Apparently we DO get the government we deserve...
