Thank you. that makes sense, but let me expound.
Daughter 1 and son work at a childrens clothing store where employees are required to wear masks but not customers.
Daughter 2 works at a bookstore where both employees AND customers are required to wear masks.
I work at a clothing store where neither employees NOR customers are required to wear masks.
ALL of us are experiencing the change to nasty behaviors.
When any of us are unable to "reach a goal", whatever that might be, there's a predictable series of events.
Most of us will try "plan B", we'll try to find a different method of reaching the goal.
When THAT doesn't work? Some of us will try "plan C". Other might abandon the goal thinking it was a bad idea or it's too much work.
For others, the ones you and your family are meeting at work? When we go beyond our ability to tolerate frustration? It's small step to some sort of aggression.
It can be passive aggression; they drop the item or leave it on the counter with a rude remark to no one in particular.
It can be more direct as, unfortunately, you're experiencing.
Whatever the source? It's simply an excess of frustration and you become a "safe" target compared to a neighbor, family member, etc.
