We've been thru your BS theory already, lol. NY is far from herd immunity, only a fifth of the population have been infected per the scientists. Thus the reason they are doing so well now is they have an incredible amount of tests, track and trace, mask wearing, not going full retard with opening bars, restaurants, basically mitigating the virus the best they can, which allows them to stop it dead in its tracks.

The fact is that other countries that had a good amount of testing, and track and trace of contacts such as Germany and South Korea, they never suffered a severe outbreak.

California has and has done all that stuff, but they're still having a huge surge.

No, California haven't. California's testing rate was at one point one of the worst in the US. Contact tracing not good enough either. They're now getting nearer to an acceptable level, but alas, too little too late. CDC info also shows that half of Californians were leaving their home regularly even under stay at home order. Then there's the issue of how many Californians were taking social distancing seriously after being told that they had got their mini outbreak under control(sort of).

The infection has been able to spread at workplaces, or outdoor gatherings from where it has then spread when back home with family. Re-opening beaches, parks from April while testing rate was terrible really wasn't the smartest idea either.

So if "COVID gonna COVID" as you put it, why is it Germany and South Korea have never experienced a bad outbreak, nor look like they are going to. That's if you are generous enough to share your tremendous insight into this, of course...
