The HIV medication they are on is stopping replication of the virus (which we've seen it do in quite a few CoV cases that have been treated with HIV medication). or 2. They actually have immunity because of the similarity between HIV and part of the CoV virus. Ironically, because both will kill you. Those are excellent.... So they are possibly überscrewed when the meds stop following.
