Not sure it makes a difference, but I think the nose is more designed as a natural filter than the mouth is. The purpose of the hairs and mucous inside the nose is to trap particles so they are not inhaled into the lungs.

But that's just my high school biology talking.

South Korea has actually been lauded for their relative transparency during the pandemic. But I agree with you that people are unable to deal with the slow-motion train wreck this virus has become. I'm struggling with it myself.

Meijer and Costco here in Indy seem to be well-stocked on most items for now. They've even reopened their manned meat counters. That being said, I still notice empty items here and there, mostly in the cleaning supplies and prepackaged lunch meat areas.

Central Iowa... delivery, but shopped from store.... Walmart has huge inventory holes. Canned good extremely noticeable. And cleaning goods.... half always out.

Toilet paper and paper towels are extremely low. You just have to willing to buy other brands.

Target in store ... had inventory gaps, but .com was stocked except the paper product issues and they stopped shipping most household type stuff like borax, hydrogen peroxide, pinesol etc.

Amazon was able to get their brand toilet paper in stock at a reasonable price. But they jacked up feminine products. Over $2 per package for their brand.

My wife was telling me about a school in Georgia that opened up and, one day later, an entire class was sent to quarantine because a student tested positive. Reminded me of my infant cousin who made it all of 4 hours in daycare before they shut the place down and quarantined everyone for two weeks. This will happen in every school in very short order.

As Mike Tyson once said, "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."

Let’s start with scare tactics..... dude, just because I say we are fucked .... this doesn’t equate to scare tactics. Reality can suck, but you don’t have to be afraid.

Then there that lesser strain....no. There is no lesser strain. There will be miscounted deaths for years. And this discussion will span centuries. What we have is a better understanding of how to treat most symptoms....

BUT don’t cry when the non covid19 deaths increase, and they will. But the new issues from this virus.... it’s more serious than your simple view can comprehend. I can’t help you see. You have to be willing to read the research papers.

And as I stated.... the economy was DOA in March. This is just basic needs of an inventory that is slowly dwindling. If it ain’t sourced and made in America..... it’s about to dry up.
