AC: This virus is no more related to the influenza virus than I am related to you. It has scientifically been proven. IT. IS. NOT. A. FLU.

That is not my opinion; that is scientifically supported fact. Therefore, you stating that it IS the flu is not your opinion; it is a factually incorrect statement, and a dangerous one to be propagating.

Anyone coming in this thread arguing that this virus is a bad flu is going to get shut down because it is simply untrue. You might as well come in here and state that it's your opinion that the sun revolves around the Earth. That's not opinion; that is sheer ignorance.

Nobody here is buying what you have to sell. You are convincing no one. All you are doing is proving beyond reasonable doubt that you have no clue what you are talking about, and we have neither the time nor the patience to deal with people like yourself.

There are plenty of other threads where people will be more receptive to your particular brand of ignorance. Go hang out there. You're wasting your time here.

I believe your claim that they had flu-like symptoms. I have no reason to question that. What you are failing to realize is "flu-like symptoms" does not automatically equate to them being infected with an influenza virus. Unless they had a blood test to confirm it was indeed influenza, then you are using their symptoms as your sole evidence that "it's just the flu." While that may seem logical to you on the surface, there are too many non-influenza pathogens out there that cause flu-like symptoms in their hosts for it to be conclusive.

Covid-19 can produce flu-like symptoms. But it is not an influenza virus.

Your really need to get past that fact before we can continue any further discussion.

I also have firsthand accounts of friends who have tested positive for Covid-19. Their symptoms were far worse and lasted far longer than any influenza would account for.
