I went to every store in town today that even remotely may have canning jars, with no luck. Oh well. I have my dehydrator and vacuum sealer, at least.
In other news, there were two large military vehicles in town while I was out. They were some sort of propane haulers or something, I'm not sure. One went north and one went south.

Yep, Walmart had a totally empty shelf except for the half gallon glass storage jars, DG had nothing, my grocery store usually has a few shelves of canning stuff, but it's been replaced with something else, the thrift store didn't have any, Co-Op didn't, and the hardware store was closed. Damn, that sucks. I'm sorry. Yeah, I'll just have to keep an eagle eye out for them. The store didn't seem to be running low on anything though. Oddly enough, they had 50 lb bags of potatoes, and I didn't look at the number on the carrots, but it had to be a 15-20 lb bag. They usually don't carry 50 lb bags of potatoes, and I don't think I've ever seen a bag of carrots that size.
