Arkansas Ranger here, welcome to the 3rd week of October. New dates are February 4th and March 18th. The 4th is the line that must hold. Remember my 90 day 'intuition' and the steady drip. In recent weeks the media has clued the public into other statistical analysis methods being used to track the virus. I will repeat again the mortality rate is no longer the main concern. Watch for other measures or 'changes' in measures being reported. Way back in the early pages I linked histories of Philly's 1793 yellow fever outbreak. I would encourage a reread to understand US pandemic response started here, and the lessons learned in Philly still apply today. Over and out.

So Feb 4th, my guess is that govts want to hold things together as long as possible with expectations being that the critical point would be this date. Overall, 1793 is an interesting historical event. Such a massive struggle yet amazing tale of human perseverance. Can it be held together that long? With the holidays and “instant gratification” culture? I don’t know. I feel like the effect of “GLP knew” as well as all the information and contributors that post here and in other threads (namely DR’s) can tend to warp our perspective of time. I’ve worked in a very large failed enterprise before. I was astonished at how long things continued to keep going despite the fact that it was clearly already failed. Things only really fall apart once the majority decide it has fallen apart. Just like the fire dog - as long as “this is fine” then it will be, no matter how bad it truly is or is about to be. I’ve mentioned recently, I hope the masses don’t decide “it” has fallen apart. Because once/if they do...we all know what happens.
