That looks like exposure to some chemical. It has to be a burn/reaction of some kind.

The vaccine isn't going to make COVID-19 vanish.

The focus needs to be on treatment of the symptoms and as much understanding of the symptoms as they can muster.

They recently revealed they may understand why it causes clotting, but they aren't 100% yet.

But please, by all means, take your vaccine.

Just a general note: Anyone remember the mystery pneumonia in Kazachstan that was totally not Covid (that was covid)?

The media has a bit of a virus outbreak boner right now and SarS-nCov-2 is getting old. Anytime that something happens out there and there is a nut (human or sentient walnut would do) screaming it's a new virus they are going to be all over it. Monitoring these things is important but don't jump to conclusions.

If this Senegal thing is a virus we will know in a few days, it's not going to make it to your backyard in that time.

I don't think that's how it works... when you have active antibodies any virus that gets into your system is destroyed before it can replicate enough in the lungs to begin shedding.
