Good news for now ... My friend's rapid test came back negative. So did his test for Strep. He took a second Covid test to be on the safe side. He says it mainly feels like a cold, so far, and that cold meds are doing the trick ... he's just being proactive.

They have pinned down the cytokine combinations that result in both moderate and severe COVID-19 reactions, as well as the synergistic reactions between these 3 cytokines and were able to reproduce these similar issues in mice.

The great news here is that they already have medicine that can be used to counter these things, so hopefully this is a pure treatment of COVID-19.

To hell with the vaccine, I'd rather see the treatment.

Nah, the treatment for TNF-a is well established already and is what they currently use for autoimmune diseases. They're known as biologics.

The purpose of this would be not that people would require constant injections of this, but that a single dose of TNF-a inhibiting factor would PREVENT the cytokine storm until the infection passes.

That said, given that it is quite likely that once a person GETS COVID, they can never get rid of it, these treatments may need to be given here and there throughout the course of their lives, but it would in no way be a constant regimen of drugs.

At least that's what I get from everything they tested and did.

Again, the drugs used to treat the combination of cytokines already exists and has been around for a very, very long time.
