Iowa reports 120 care facilities with COVID-19 outbreaks [ link to www.kcci.com (secure)] For a fourth straight day, Iowa’s 14-day positivity rate declined. It now stands at 21.2%, down from 21.6% a day earlier. For a third straight day, the number of Iowans hospitalized with COVID-19 has declined. There are now 1,416 patients hospitalized, down from 1,447. How many of these numbers are really just care facilities? I understad protecting the elderly, so should we concentrate on that instead? These are PEOPLE! Care facilities.... group homes for those that can’t function on their own! There is a reason I am so harsh..... the folks that could have reduced infections by just pausing normal life for awhile put people that have zero control of their life in harms way. And you are only looking at a point in time..... you fail to account for the fallout from infections. It would behoove you to read up on the percentage of people with longterm issues. Or the amount of mental illness that occurs in folks with covid19. Maybe use the time on your hands to take a correspondence course in critical thinking.
