Here's the funny thing about human vs. "every other species" meds...

Fish antibiotics, for example, are made to as high or higher level of purity and consistency than the same product intended for human use.

Why? A fish can't say "err, this is making me nauseous...", they simply die. And owners of dead fish, or dead cats and dogs, or horses, get really damned cranky.

Had a friend in the business who explained that when those products were being made everyone's anxiety level went up five notches.
