Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77733309 Closer everyday. We're at a white castle burger right now. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76862064 Maybe you missed this: [ link to www.biorxiv.org (secure)] SARS-CoV-2 causes brain inflammation and Lewy bodies, a hallmark for Parkinson, after an asymptomatic infection in macaques. We observed Lewy bodies in brains of all rhesus macaques. These data emphasize the virus’ capability to induce neuropathology in this nonhuman primate model for SARS-CoV-2 infection. As in humans Lewy body formation is an indication for the development of Parkinson’s disease, this data represents a warning for potential long-term neurological effects after SARS-CoV-2 infection. More confirmation is required, but the observations in the translational macaque models for COVID-19 can be regarded as a serious warning as they may be predictive for COVID-19-related dementia cases in humans in the future, even after an asymptomatic infection or mild disease process. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79577075 Not at all. You know how you don't get that to happen? Don't get sick. You know how you prevent infections????? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76862064 No. The vaccine could cause Lewy Bodies (Parkinson's), too.You do not know which element(s) of the virus cause the Lewy Bodies to appear, and is quite likely to be the S-spike protein (due to stong binding affinity, its ability to change shapes of proteins and its own prion-like domain). Spike proteins on their own (and mRNA) can cross the BBB and do not entirely stay in the muscle they are injected into. Finally, if you think a vaccine will prevent infection - that is an assumption, most likely flawed. Conclusion: we simply do not yet know whether the virus, and possibly the vaccines themselves, may cause DEMENTIA in the long run.BUT we have EVIDENCE the virus causes Parkinson's precursors in Rhesus Macaques. This should be a warning sign. Caution advised.
