Directly from the horse’s mouth, dpw.lacounty.gov, LA county uses “highly purified” recycled wastewater, (which includes toilet water piped through sewers and waste water treatment plants), for a wide range of purposes including “indirect potable re-uses, in which highly purified recycled water is used to recharge underground aquifers” ...    When you think about it, everyone uses highly purified waste water. If you have a private septic system, everything that goes through it ends up in the water table eventually to be sucked up by somebody's well. I don’t drink my well water even though the well’s about 200’ deep.I distill it. But don’t you think funneling treated water, during a pandemic, into municipal aquifers in Orange County might make an exponential difference in possible problems? I do. Southern CA’s water supply is not exactly the same as the rushing mountain water of New England you are lucky enough to have access to. Kevin McCairn suggests everyone on municipal water should start boiling their drinking water.
