Directly from the horse’s mouth, dpw.lacounty.gov, LA county uses “highly purified” recycled wastewater, (which includes toilet water piped through sewers and waste water treatment plants), for a wide range of purposes including “indirect potable re-uses, in which highly purified recycled water is used to recharge underground aquifers” ...    Oh, that's awful..I'd bet those VERY stable prions aren't removed entirely. PS - thanks for letting the people in the prion thread know what Kevin has pointed us to.
