I have 2 main doom prep flashlights I really like - a Nitecore keychain usb flashlight (around 400 lumens) $40ish, and a 20v DeWalt LED work light, ($55) both of which have been surprisingly reliable for years.
Can charge the Nitecore quickly in the car. It’s waterproof and blinding.
Quoting: sos I have an old heavy scratched up ACRO HID 990X 3200 lumen that I used for work. They still make them I believe. It still operates but the battery fizzled. At $175 just for the battery, I am passing. However, it worked faithfully for many years. The progression of flashlight brightness and weight has been amazing.
