Also, just putting this out there--has anyone seen if invermectin is effective if it is a variant version?

Sorry, CAT- I am getting captcha'd for long posts so here is my reply..sorry for the poor guy and you two, too.

Likely just the original, or close...this from June? last year..

Extrapulmonary manifestations of COVID-19
[link to www.nature.com (secure)]
Although COVID-19 is most well known for causing substantial respiratory pathology, it can also result in several extrapulmonary manifestations. These conditions include thrombotic complications, myocardial dysfunction and arrhythmia, acute coronary syndromes, acute kidney injury, gastrointestinal symptoms, hepatocellular injury, hyperglycemia and ketosis, neurologic illnesses, ocular symptoms, and dermatologic complications. Given that ACE2, the entry receptor for the causative coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, is expressed in multiple extrapulmonary tissues, direct viral tissue damage is a plausible mechanism of injury. In addition, endothelial damage and thromboinflammation, dysregulation of immune responses, and maladaptation of ACE2-related pathways might all contribute to these extrapulmonary manifestations of COVID-19.

There's also the fact that like malaria it affects CD147 which malaria parasite uses to invade red blood cells (erythrocytes).

PS - afaik Ivermectin is effective on ALL strains so far and other viruses too. Works two ways to stop infection and raw-material access.

I have to believe that ivermectin does what it is purported to do as we, meaning my two 30 something sons and I have been using ivermectin weekly on a prophylaxis basis since just before Thanksgiving of last year.

No side effects noted at all.

They are out and about due to work and life circumstances, they do masks up and practice social distancing as best as one can here in urban South Florida.

I'm lucky to work from home and minimize my outings to the extent possible but I have to get out weekly to keep my car driving skills up and get some social interacqtion with people or I'm afraid depression could creep in.

So far so good, my twin grandchildren had some type of crud 2 weeks ago and none of the adults caught it. My one son had a scratchy throat for a day and felt tiredish for that day but that was it.

hf here's to us all making it every day to the next in health!
