The Elzetta flashlight arrived... [ link to elzetta.com (secure)] I have to say its low key impressive! The lens glass body is almost an inch thick and it feels different to all my other flashlights (lifetime warranty). I custom engraved it for one of my sons and I am thinking about ordering a second for my navy son who also has to walk a dog. Very nice solid mat/texture to the flashlight. There is an ineffable low key texture of quality to this flashlight that is difficult to express. Nice... after our discussion the other day I realized I was a bit short on flashlights and ordered this cheapie off Amazon: [ link to www.amazon.com (secure)] It's actually pretty decent for 30 bucks, brighter than my Streamlight Strion and in the reviews they say it really does have a 6 hour runtime at least when new anyways. Only problem is it's not very tactical, the power button cycles through modes no matter what you do... so if you turn it on a couple times doing some work eventually you end up on strobe the next time it you use it.
