We would pick up each friend along the way. There were about 8 of us walking together. Our mothers would tell us pick food on the way to school. We knew where all the fruit trees were. Plums, apricots, oranges and even nut trees. The people who owned them knew we would come along and we would take only enough for our lunch. |
