To add to what OP said: I've also heard they're shutting down all public parking, so plan accordingly. Northam & his people are pulling out all the stops to sabotage the influx of protestors, so you might even encounter roadblocks & engineered traffic jams. Maybe consider pooling in a bus with any one of the various groups organizing the event. Me personally, if I can't have my vehicle at my disposal, I'd rather not go.

If you do find parking, I wouldn't advise bringing any vehicles with pro-2A, pro-hunting, pro-gun rights bumper stickers or window emblems. Another thread suggested the criminal element will be on the prowl breaking into such vehicles in search of guns. Makes a lot of sense.
