Yes, I'm one of the most ardent supporters of the Constitution you'll ever meet. However, the police are charged with the responsibility of protecting the citizenry. When they receive a call claiming someone was murdered with a shotgun, it's their job ro investigate. Yes, your rights are being violated - but not by them. The blame is at the feet of the prankster calling in the fake police report.
