There was an incident where they called in a swat on some guys place at night while he was sleeping. The police busted through the door, he thought his house was being robbed so he grabbed his gun and was shot by those very same cops.

Investigating a call is not breaking down your door with a swat team.

THey can trace teh call but if they don't trace it RIGHT AWAY, the person making the call will get away. If you try to swat a cop, they will know right away and trace you. If you swat a regular guy, they won't trace you until after they do the raid and find out it's a fake.

Let's hope they were stupid enough to not use a disposable line that had never called any of their acquaintances.

It does make one wonder if the cops are so monumentally stupid as to swat someone when a complaint was made via blocked or masked number. They should have the machinery to know if it's a spoof right away.

An anonymous source should never be taken as probable cause to enter somebody's house. Police should require much more.
