You can start to hear sirens at 1:45:00, & then it starts.

The guy shouldn't have gotten bent out of shape over it. I know it sucks but these things happen & the police have to do their job. And like the other poster said, yeah be mindful of your dogs. Gunning down pets has become a major problem in these situations. To me, that's the biggest outrage of all. I worked at a veterinary hospital many years ago & was bitten dozens of times ~ a minor inconvenience 99% of the time. The more dangerous breeds had their snouts secured to prevent biting, but still.

That's a bullshit answer.

Their "job" is to serve and protect. Their pensions are paid for by the taxpayer. To storm a house and kill anyone is a unreasonable search and seizure based on a anon phone call. Illigal on the face of it and detrimental to the rule of law. They are not above it.

The Constitution and its Amendments in now a paper tiger and ignorant people like you are the problem.

They are the the prviate security force for the jewish elite. They protect and serve them. Just ask any cop if he's there to protect and serve the public at large.

Cops are dumb beasts, aren't they? I mean, really? This is just stupid. Some kid messing around and puts this guy through this. The cops should know better. Way dumber than an 12 year old.

But, of course, they got to warm up all their gear and practice their SWAT bullshit.

Never talk to the cops.

Never give consent to allow anything.

Tech man was detailing how to do the window's upgrade...
go to the 1:30 mark and you can hear/then see the police
storm his house.

All because of an anon phone call saying he had a gun and shot somebody!

Wow this thread really has legs. I look at the responses from mostly ACs claiming this is a civil rights issue & all the colorful namecalling & begin to wonder if these are just trolls.

Police departments set up anonymous tip lines because people reporting crimes become targets for retaliation from criminals ("stitches for snitches"). If they receive a report of an armed man having murdered someone, of course they're going in guns drawn with force of numbers. They have "probable cause" & step 1 of investigating a homicide report & possible armed shooter is secure the area.

As to innocent homeowners being shot, police are supposed to clearly identify themselves. They're trained to shout out their presence & identity themselves after breeching a door & entering a suspect's home (which is why you always see & hear them shouting these things).

The AC from Romania brought up the Jeffrey Dahmer case which perfectly explains WHY the police must do these things. They have to investigate & verify no murder occurred. You guys out there carrying a chip on your shoulder & thinking it's smart to be argumentative in these sorts of tense situations are setting yourselves up for catastrophe. If a squad of armed police are in a state of heightened alert & drawing down on you, coppin a tude over your violated rights ain't going to deescalate that tension.

Do you even Constitution, bro?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76918744

Yes, I'm one of the most ardent supporters of the Constitution you'll ever meet. However, the police are charged with the responsibility of protecting the citizenry. When they receive a call claiming someone was murdered with a shotgun, it's their job ro investigate. Yes, your rights are being violated - but not by them. The blame is at the feet of the prankster calling in the fake police report.

This is common sense imo. If it happened to me, I'd be aggravated too but I'd recognize the responsibility the police officers have & cooperate fully to help resolve things quickly.
 Quoting: XeroGravity

The police have no mandate to protect the citizenry you stupid fuck.

Their job is to enforce the law. Fucking period.

It's because of sychophant coward's like yourself that we have a police state that constitutes a standing army that will crush your head under heel!

Get it ya feckin punk?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78359721

Nope. Wrong. Fail.

The job of cops is to keep the peace.

It is the job of the courts to enforce the law.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13455469

All Wrong.

The courts, lawyer judges, juries and cops are all crooked, lawless and corrupt, and do not abide by the same law as they enforce on the rest.

It is the duty of every American citizen to enforce the law and keep the peace in their respective neighborhoods. We are the Militia, as prescribed by the Constitution, those necessary to the security, We the People, there is no other.

That cop was acting like a prissy little bitch. He wasn’t even nice. He didn’t need to talk down to the homeowner and be condescending. Maybe someone needs to find out who he is and swat him so he can find out what it’s like.

Anonymous tip lines are for citizens to report criminals to be investigated without fear of retribution.

They are not intended for calling emergency services.

scary isn't it?? and his behavior was just indignant as he was doing business on the live-stream and this nonsense was an interruption -against his rights as well.

there was a correct way to investigate and a wrong one, this was all the wrong way of the cops to do it.

(to another poster, there was no one else home, the girl's voice you heard was coming from the live-stream he had going).

from the video's description

//"For those saying Carey over-reacted...Thing is, Carey's not an officer, he's a guy making a video and then the cops show up, he's understandably frustrated that he just got hacked multiple times and is now being swatted. You can't know how you'd react until you experience that situation. Unless he physically threatened an officer, it should make no difference in their response to him.

The fact is, the cops are supposed to be trained and able to handle this situation. Standing there arguing with a guy that may or may not be armed and may or may not have just killed someone sounds like the most shitty protocol I've ever heard.

He should have been patted down for weapons and/or cuffed, and once it was established that he was not armed and hiding a dead body, an "I'm sorry this happened" and a conversation about whether or not he might know who made the 9-1-1 call, or if he knew of anyone out to get him should have happened.

At that point he became a victim, and these cops continued to treat him as a suspect. Individuals are not trained how to feel or respond when an entire police force shows up with guns drawn, the cops certainly should be trained in how to DEESCALATE, not perpetuate an argument, and if not, they shouldn't be allowed on these calls until they are."
