Catholics hassling Protestants, Mormons hassling Catholics. All these are supposed to be god's people and they're petty fucks and learn that directly from their rents. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78112002 As a real Protestant (Bible believer), I've never been harassed by a Mormon or Catholic. I have, however, been harassed by plenty of atheists, though for no good reason whatsoever. They just can't stand the fact that not everyone believes their evolutionary bullshit. |

For teacher/administrator (i.e., employee of the state and figure of authority)-led prayer, that would probably be a bad thing. Why? Checkers-level logic that the dull will only understand when their children come home and tell them about the wonderful teacher-led prayer to Allah or to the "tree god" or to Satan. |

When in elementary school part of the beginning of the day was the reading of a bible story. Students were given the choice as my teacher would ask 'What story would you like to hear today?' and student's made suggestions. That was the ONLY source of moralality that some received...bringing back moral education would be of benefit. It really wouldn't matter what the source was (the bible, torah, koran, eastern texts, etc..) what would matter would be that there would be a message of some importance concerning how to treat one another and live. Not religious education...Moral Education! "Not everyone who walks in the guise of a man is human.” — Aristotle “To educate a person in the mind but not in morals is to educate a menace to society.” Teddy Roosevelt "The only certain barrier to truth is the belief that you already have it" Voltaire |

Forum Administrator 01/18/2020 11:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Trump administration moves to protect prayer in public schools and federal funds for religious organizations The White House announced it is proposing to ease restrictions on religious groups that provide social services By Moriah Balingit and Ariana Eunjung Cha / Jan. 16, 2020 at 5:35 p.m. CST The Trump administration is moving to strengthen protections for students who want to pray or worship in public schools and proposing changes to make it easier for religious groups that provide social services to access federal funds, a development that comes as the president seeks to shore up support among evangelicals. Nine federal agencies, including the Education Department, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Justice Department, are advancing rules that would reduce requirements for those religious organizations. The rules would lift an Obama-era executive order that compelled religious organizations to tell the people they serve that they can receive the same service from a secular provider...
