If you live in a Blue State, then get out and move to a Red State. Don't bring your Blue State mentality and expect to get ahead in a Red State. Live outside city limits and rents will be cheaper...

I moved to Oklahoma because it's a Red State and gas, lodging and food is cheap. Quality of life is much better...
