The Air force wears a "digital tigerstripe" pattern today; I'm a little surprised they showed the tapes on a"woodland" pattern. But it is different than what the Army,Marines,Air force, and Navy wear today.

This fake news reminds me of something from 50 years ago that happened locally. Our County Sheriff had launched a massive crackdown on illegal drugs [mostly Pot in those days!] and in one heavily-publicised event leaped from the trunk of a car wearing military fatigues instead of his normal uniform. Regional media immediately savaged him for doing so, thinking his official uniform would somehow make the arrests more valid.

His reply was honest, straight-froward and shut up his detractors pronto: "My Sheriff's uniforms are expensive and the county has to pay for them. I bought those fatigues myself in a surplus store. And only an idiot would wear a business suit to a riot."
