We had this down Langleys Way back in the 80's before Darlene and Harley came onto the scene and scared them off

Good album, but I like the original tunes that Page nicked these and other zeppelin tunes from.

Pagey, the original "sampler"

They don't suck they are just serial plagiarists. There is barely one original idea on their first 4 albums.

One of the best forgotten albums of that era. Like Black and Blue by the Stones, they were both recorded in the same studio around the same time and they are distinctively different from anything they did before.

Good call OP, just listened to Tea For One. Forgot how great that song was.

Yup.

Sweet memories, listening to it
fresh from the record store,
in friends' metal basement
back in the day.
LOUD!

chuckle

However, 'Rastaman Vibration' was
always the Big One for yours truly,
from that particular year. :)

I never saw LZ, but I did get to see Page/Plant in 1994. That was kind of the mountaintop for me. I haven't went to a concert since then unless you count Henry Rollins and Violent Femmes in real small venues.

British music used to be so good. We’ve had nothing worthy since 2005ish. And that was arctic monkeys. Literally nothing since.

I know the feeling.

Was fortunate enough to catch Bob Marley & The Wailers
at Gröna Lund, Stockholm, the 'Uprising' Tour, June 1980.

Still today by far the best show I ever saw in person.
On so many levels.

Dude...WTF happened to music...

...or is that what every generation says, as old age strikes?

chuckle

Just seems to me, that 1 Marley or Plant equals 100 Justin
Biebers/Taylor Swifts. Is "the industry" willfully looking
for as non-charismatic stars as possible..?

scratching

Thx for the moment of nice nostalgia, OP cheers
Had all but forgotten that one.

I saw Plant and Page in a local cafe in Liverpool a few years ago, they where surprise guests and they did most of the songs from Plant and Page Unleaded. It was quite funny really, because the music started and I thought Wow! that sounds like Plant and..!!
The cafe, often did this without advertising and may still do!

Perfect Sunday music. Thanks op....all I need is a drive in the country in a green Triumph TR6, luggage rack, waxed dash, clutch tight, wind nipping, some kona from the 80's. Oh, and I'll ride shot gun...

:dingdong:

I took 4 groupies to see Plant and one wild child guest snuck in a bouquet of red roses for him. Haha, he loved it. Fuck the security. lmao
