Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78144729 4 hours??? That is nuts! I saw Plant and Page twice. The first time was at Knebworth 1990, second time in Ghent (Belgium). They are really good live. Saw them at the Earls Court,London when this album came out, they where on stage for 4 hours, not bad for a quid! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78144729 Lucky you...never got the chance to experience LZ live, meself. :( I never saw LZ, but I did get to see Page/Plant in 1994. That was kind of the mountaintop for me. I haven't went to a concert since then unless you count Henry Rollins and Violent Femmes in real small venues. I saw Plant and Page in a local cafe in Liverpool a few years ago, they where surprise guests and they did most of the songs from Plant and Page Unleaded. It was quite funny really, because the music started and I thought Wow! that sounds like Plant and..!! The cafe, often did this without advertising and may still do! Do you know the name of the local cafe? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78356159 United States 01/19/2020 11:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They don't suck they are just serial plagiarists. There is barely one original idea on their first 4 albums. Quoting: Sailo 47402967 Are you saying that Blind Willie Johnson wrote the song? He was the first to record it but that does not mean he wrote it. Please post your proof that Johnson wrote it. I believe it was an often sung gospel song for many years before it was ever recorded by anyone. That being said, Johnson's voice will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Unmatched blues voice. Also have to mention that if it wasn't for bands like Zeppelin, Cream and others, these songs would have long been dead and buried, heard and/or discussed by no one in 2020. Complaining that Zeppelin "stole" this music is like complaining that Rembrandt stole the paint he used to paint "The Night Watch". Childishly irrelevant. |

They've even had to change credits on subsequent releases. Do your research before you look like an idiot in public. They out-right stole entire songs, dumbass. |

I remember riding my bike to the record store to buy it when it was released. I haven't listened to it in decades. Thanks, OP! I've been married so long, I don't even look both ways when I cross the street. |

If they borrowed a few words or riffs, they did the originals a great favor and turned it into a great tune. To criticize LZ by just calling them plagiarist is like calling a 10 hottie a skank because she's been working in the garden and needs a shower. User ID: 78018011 United States 01/19/2020 01:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Perfect Sunday music. Thanks op....all I need is a drive in the country in a green Triumph TR6, luggage rack, waxed dash, clutch tight, wind nipping, some kona from the 80's. Oh, and I'll ride shot gun... Quoting: pool I took 4 groupies to see Plant and one wild child guest snuck in a bouquet of red roses for him. Haha, he loved it. Fuck the security. I would be elated to drive. I love the Tr6. I saw LZ and Santana about 1969 in Honolulu. I had a 57 chevy about that time. Wrecked it on Christmas Eve. I don't have the time or the crayons to explain this to you. Slake Blake |

Accidental Stoner User ID: 77022301 Finland 01/19/2020 02:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | That was the album with the white family sitting around a table looking at a black dildo. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72309798 The bbc is an obelisk. See how the hands are laid on the obelisk? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76569627 That’s part of an eastern occultism ritual. Good/bad who’s to say? The Unseen world is kinda cool, but not for the stupid... Astute observations. Well, we didn't see a white family in 1976. We saw a family. And the usual Led Zeppelin weirdness - including the occult symbolism - that made them Led Zeppelin. Long childhood hours spent studying their album sleeves behind us neighbourhood kids already, by then. |
