I'm always curious about what makes people tick. Although there are apolitical or quasi-conservative people who don't like Trump - for his wealth, his "you're fired!" personality, his frat-house quips - I've found that most people who resent him, when you scratch below the surface, end up being mainly garden-variety liberals/leftwingers in their biases and preferences. They'd dislike Trump even if he were a choir boy.

That's even truer in 2020 when the left in America - both socially and politically - is reaching Stalinesque/Maoist/Castroist levels. So to not be far more disgusted or alarmed by that and instead unhappy with President Trump is a case of very selective outrage or very selective indignation.
