Went to it yesterday with my daughter (9) and she loved it! The effects where good enough that it eas even enjoyable for me to watch. Not a 5 star movie. But good enough for some fun!

Looked stupid to be honest. Still remember the original one when I saw it when I was a child. I think he traveled in a giant snail. But yeah I was watching the trailer for this new one and thought that looks like a giant cgi mess. Quoting: The Gullible Skeptic LOVED the original! My fave movie growing up. Can't top that (though Jr is a good actor, would watch this if it was at least halfway decent.) Quoting: WatchingEddyMin I saw it yesterday with my mom and I'd give it a 3.5 out of 10. I too was a big fan of the original, that's why I wanted to see this one.

I have a libary of DVDs and an orgy of online streaming garbage I can delve into. I am more into books and skiing. I watch everything I want when I find it in a dollar bin at Walmart.

The film will earn it's money back over the years. All flops eventually earn back cash. Mariah Careys "Glitter" was a total bomb and has since become a cult favorite and was in the black a long time ago.

How come there was all this creative writing in past decades and none today? Where are the new screen plays? Everything is a half-assed rehash, usually with role reversals and gayness thrown in.. Then they fail at the box office and (((they))) act all surprised. Tickets cost too much for propaganda films to succeed. Losers. Maybe (((they))) should let the gentiles bring them a new script once in a while.
