Czech President Radek Vondracek showed his middlefinger from his podium in the plenary hall in Prague. The agency CTK reported. The incident occurred shortly before the meeting of the House of Representatives, the more important of the two chambers of parliament in the Czech Republic.

"It was a reaction to another gesture by a colleague and comrade - and of course it was fun," wrote the 46-year-old on Twitter and apologized to the public. Vondracek is a member of the populist party ANO of Prime Minister and multi-billionaire Andrej Babis.
