That's the go-to hospital for the entire area, hundreds of miles around, for the seriously ill. If smaller hospitals and med centers can't handle a patient, they're airlifted to Sacred Heart. Usually means they're very ill, cardiac cases or other critical ones. Perhaps this is just because they have better isolation facilities.

Five coronavirus patients to be transferred to Spokane's Sacred Heart

SPOKANE, Wash. — Five patients who have tested positive for COVID-19, more commonly known as coronavirus, are being transferred to Spokane's Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.

According to a press release, Providence Sacred Heart was chosen "because of its secured airborne infection isolation rooms." Sacred Heart is one of 10 hospitals with this as a specialized unit across the country.

How would you feel if it was your families hospital? I remember people protesting and going nuts when a hospital would take in an AIDs patient when the disease first started. They had to keep it hush, but word still got out and made the news.

I live blocks from this hospital... Lots of helicopters coming and going the last few days. More than usual for sure. This makes me VERY uneasy.

KCMO Health Department monitoring fewer than 10 people for coronavirus

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri, Health Department is monitoring fewer than 10 people for possible coronavirus.

The individuals, according to the Health Department, are a “medium risk” of contracting the virus that originated in China. They all meet at least one criteria of the virus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

"We get their names through the CDC, through the health department when they are coming back to Kansas City,” Archer said, “and then we basically we will check with them twice a day to make sure that they're not getting temperatures or other symptoms of the disease.”

The department said that the people are “self-monitoring” and are advised to remain at home.

Vancouver Canada is full of Chinese. There are multiple flights arriving directly from China every day. The federal and provincial health ministers and Vancouver mayors actually tried to guilt us into eating Chinese food because the poor restaurant owners are hurting because customers are staying away due to "misinformation". There is no way we don't have infected people walking among us here.
