Lookner just showed a tweet that said the CA case is a resident of SOLANO COUNTY and is rec'ving tx in SACREMENTO COUNTY.

I could not read the tweeter, apologies....

And do you know what's located in SOLANO COUNTY, CA?

Wait for it ...

Travis Air Force Base, the place that received a bunch of exposed evacuees from China or the cruise ship or both.

And here it is, straight from the mouth of Canada's Health Minister. If you were waiting to be told, you are now told in plain English...

1. This California #Covid19 cases with no travel history & no link to other cases suggests the virus is spreading, undetected, to some degree. She had to be infected somewhere. I hope the staff in the first hospital that treated her used appropriate PPE.

Even though municipal water came down our road 12 years ago, I kept my well for just an occasion such as this. If you are on a well and trying to figure out how to get water out of it when the power goes down, there is a simple and cheap solution...the bailer bucket.

240'? That wasn't a cheap well. I'm drawing at 75' so bailing for me is feasible. Worst case scenario, I walk across the road and bail from the St. Lawrence River.

Yeah, deep wells are a problem. Keep in mind you will probably need a winch/crane system to pull that much pipe and pump. It's not going to be light. 1" PVC weighs 41# per 100'.

h/t tetano (an Italian pediatrician)

Tetano:

The intention is to consider only serious and dead cases as cases that will be communicated, the rest will be counted separately and only for epidemiological purposes

China was accused of hiding the cases, I don't believe it. Italy is deciding to hide the cases and downplay the epidemic

If the cases are few and concern only elderly or fragile people it will be more simple to say that the epidemic is no worrysome

Italy is changing the way it reports cases.

In Vienna there is the first confirmed case of coronavirus. A 72-year-old is seriously ill. The case was announced by City Councilor Peter Hacker ( SPÖ ). The patient should be an Austrian.

The man had been in the Rudolf Foundation for ten days, showing classic flu symptoms. The diagnosis was then made after a routine examination . This was ordered by the hospital association ( KAV ) at the weekend due to the spread of the virus for all patients who showed corresponding symptoms. On Thursday he was brought to the isolation station in the Kaiser-Franz-Josef hospital .

Three stations of the Rudolf Foundation have currently been blocked, including the intensive care unit where the pensioner had been treated. The state medical director is on site in the hospital , the locks may need to be extended.
