"On 14 December, the Hong Kong Police also released a statement that a second bomb plot have has foiled within a week and three men have been arrested in Tuen Mun, on suspicion of testing explosive devices and chemicals. The homemade, remote-controlled devices were intended for use at mass protests. Protective gear, shields, bulletproof vests and gas masks were also recovered at the scene.[19]"

On December 16th the Hong Kong riots were under control after use of tear gas and massive police response. About the same time virus showed up. huh?
