[ link to apnews.com (secure)] US announces 15th virus case, this one in Texas evacueeAnother case of the new coronavirus has been confirmed in a U.S. evacuee from China, this one in a person under quarantine in Texas.Health officials announced the 15th confirmed U.S. case case Thursday. The infection was confirmed through a Wednesday night lab test. The patient, who had been flown to at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, is now in isolation at a hospital and was reported in stable condition. Comment: When these evacuees are in "isolation" at these military facilities, are the allowed to mingle with the other evacuees in isolation? I'm pretty sure that the evacuees being held at Canadian Forces Base Treton are supposed to maintain minimum distance of 2m when getting fresh air outside. Yes, 2m minimum as per CBC article... 'Safe in their care': Evacuees describe life under quarantine at CFB Trenton [ link to www.cbc.ca (secure)] But what about the thousands of passengers arriving daily in Vancouver directly from China? Why no quarantine for them? As far as I know from a family member that works with an airline, it's business as usual at the airport.
