Anonymous Coward User ID: 78298213 United States 01/23/2020 09:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don't smoke unless you have a good reason to. Nicotine patches are available and can be stored cool and dry until needed. Consider them necessary medical supplies, like antibiotics and Everclear. Don't use for the listed purpose - just when necessary. Don't OD on the patch though - wearing one for too long - especially when not used to nicotine can be dangerous. Especially so for a non-smoker. You can cut a patch if necessary into a smaller piece and st it all in ziplocks. BTW, you can also grow tobacco. You just need to learn how and get some seeds. |

This Curcurmin is a powerful anti-inflammatory. I can attest to that, I have Psoriasis on my hands and I drink Curcuma three times a day: Two teaspoons of powdered Curcuma, a dash of grounded black pepper, and had a teaspoon of good olive oil, since the Curcumin in the Curcuma is fat soluble, all in half a glass of water. I really clears up the dried out patches on my hands, but you need patience for the first results to show. About 2 weeks, but you need to continue with the cure, because if you stop, the condition comes back. |

Don't need the extremely addictive nicotine. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77192746 I tried nicotine patches as a non-smoker trying to increase my dopamine sensitivity. I went fairly high dose for a few months and then quit because I didn't like the feeling of nicotine. If you don't have an addictive personality, the patches are not addictive. Smoking contains an MAOI in addition to the nicotine, so it may be more addictive than other delivery mechanisms. Alcohol is the most addictive and one day I just decided to quit cold turkey. I never missed it. I could not have done that with alcohol 20 years ago, so it's part of the development and evolvement of the brian. |

Consider a different nicotine delivery system. Quoting: Lady Jayne Smith been smoking for 20 years recently had scans of my heart and lungs they are clean and healthy it's a myth that just smoking any amount is bad for your lungs. your lungs are filters smoke a little, give them lots of fresh oxygen and they'll be fine but yea, sit around and smoke many cigs in a day and do little or no exercise or work and yea that will hurt your lungs. but it's a myth that any amount of smoke in the lungs in detrimental millions of smokers with clean lungs out there This is the cold hard truth. Now, if only I wouldn't get all the strange looks from people in real life when I lay it all out for them (including the complete lack of scientific evidence suggesting that smoking causes cancer, the fact that radioactive particles unequivocally DO cause cancer plus the little tidbit of knowledge that the government just so happened to have dispersed literal tons of radioactive dust into the atmosphere right around the same time they started blaming tobacco for the insane increase in lung cancer incidences happening, the statistical data showing many places with the highest smoking rates have the lowest incidence of lung cancer, the numerous experimental studies that demonstrate that tobacco smoke actually has anti-cancer bronchial protection effects, not to mention the proven blatant hoax of the classroom models and pictures of "smokers lung" or the numerous mortician/medical examiner anecdotes which report that over years of experience the only "clients" who had damaged lungs where those with chronic COPD or other bronchial diseases with many other life long smokers without such issues having lungs that are practically indistinguishable from a non-smoker.) I mean I get why I get such blank response, it's hard to confront and resolve a cognitive dissonance that has been instilled ingrained across multiple generations in one sitting. |

By controlling the proinflammatory response (e.g., leukocyte recruitment to the site of infection), an immunomodulatory treatment has the potential to reduce this tissue damage by preventing immune “overcrowding.” Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78374041 That's what made the 'Spanish flu' so lethal, it killed much higher proportions of young healthy people with strong immune systems by turning it against them, literally drowning them n their own juices. American spirit blues. My choice as well. Used to smoke 1 1/2 packs a day of the cheap smokes, they made me feel like crap. Now with these American spirits I don't feel the need to smoke as much (1/2 pack or less a day) and I feel much better. I've tried growing tobacco and it's tricky. The seeds are miniscule. I never could get them to germinate but I live in the Midwest, there's probably a good reason it's typically grown in the south. You have to be careful not to bury the seeds too deep. Added bonus to curcumin is, it really helps get rid of belly fat. Old country remedy for wasp and bee stings....take a cigarette or a chew, insert in mouth and make a poultice to slap on the sting. Acts as a local to affected area and supposedly draws out the poison. Works every time. And thought struggles against the results, trying to avoid those unpleasant results while keeping on with that way of thinking. That is what I call 'sustained incoherence.' ...David Bohm “How, O Zenobia, hast thou dared to insult Roman emperors?” ...Aurelian, 44th Emperor of the Roman Empire |
